We are so glad you want to join a CTK Small Group!
Your Small Group will consist of 6 to 8 couples or 12 to 16 individuals who will get together weekly for a couple of hours of social time, study and prayer for the next year and a half. Discussion materials and support will be offered by CTK but your group will function independently according to what works best for you.
What happens at a CTK Small Group meeting?
Register for your CTK Small Group:
We register for Small Groups twice a year, September and January.
1. HOW ARE GROUPS FORMED? Small groups are formed based on interest and availability and then by location. While we will make every attempt to meet your preferences, it will ultimately be dependent on the number of people who sign up. The more who sign up, the easier it is to meet your requests. So encourage others to sign up, especially if you know others who live around you!
2. WHAT IF I'VE NEVER FACILITATED BEFORE? No problem! We will have a facilitator training in January to prepare you. As facilitator, your role is to help provide consistency and keep the group updated. It won't be your responsibility to lead every meeting - you don't need to be a bible scholar or have experience leading a group. We must have one facilitator per group. If we do not have enough facilitators, we can not form groups.
3. WHERE DO OUR GROUPS MEET? When we form groups, we will look at the availability of hosts for the group. We must have someone to host the first meeting. After that, the small groups will decide if they want to continue meeting at that house, rotate hosts, or meet somewhere else.
